Work Experience

Year 12 students have the opportunity to participate in a one week work experience programme facilitated by NYBEP (North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership). This programme aims to provide students with valuable insights into the working world, helping them to develop key skills and explore potential career paths.

Students have two options for securing their placements:

Self-arranged Placements: Students can independently organise their own work experience by reaching out to companies or organisations they are interested in. This allows them to tailor their experience to align with their career aspirations or personal interests.

NYBEP-arranged Placements: Alternatively, students can opt to have their placement arranged by NYBEP. The organisation works with a wide range of employers to match students with placements that suit their skills and interests.
Throughout the program, students are encouraged to engage actively, take initiative, and reflect on their learning to maximise the benefits of the experience. This one week placement is designed to build confidence, enhance employability, and provide a meaningful introduction to the workplace.
